CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR for Green Valley Consulting Engineers

In general, provide inspection duties on a variety of Public Works and/or Community Development projects including reviewing improvement plans; inspecting public improvement construction, preparing and administering contracts; preparing and maintaining a variety of reports while providing exemplary public assistance. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver with the ability to work positively as part of a team.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Review a variety of engineering plans related to civil, traffic and utility engineering projects for constructability in conformance with accepted construction and quality assurance practices;

Perform on-site construction inspections to ensure conformance with contract plans, specifications and documents;

Produce daily inspection reports as well as other reports documenting the progress of construction;

Recommend progress payments and change orders to higher level engineering staff;

Communicate information and requirements with contractors, representatives of utilities and other governmental agencies related to the coordination of inspection and construction activities in order to resolve discrepancies and facilitate coordination of activities for timely project completion;

Make and validate mathematical and basic survey calculations related to grades, distances, flow quantities and volumes;

Create field drawings from sketches, survey field notes, legal description and other data used for construction and inspection of a variety of public work projects;

Interpret and compute field inspection data, evaluating for accuracy and completeness;

Prepare and maintain a variety of reports, records, and files related to the assigned area of responsibility;

Interpret and apply various federal, state, local laws, rules, regulations related to construction and inspection activities for projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. Graduation from high school, or the equivalent, supplemented by specialized education or experience in construction of public works projects, contract management, public works inspection, basic surveying, specification and plan reading, creating field drawings, record maintenance, and working with a variety of trades, technical, and professional personnel to effectively resolve problems and coordinate accomplishment of complex tasks within deadlines. Minimum 3-years experience in public works and/or community development projects.

We are currently looking for assistant or entry level technicians to assist more senior technicians and engineers in our reflective thin film shell production and related R&D and product development activities.

Candidates will be well rounded and have a desire to work in a growing small company environment where they will be expected to understand and contribute in many different technical areas and where their contributions will make a difference. Sr. RF Design Engineer
Major provider of communications services is seeking an RF designer to participate in the development of cellular base station transmitters and receivers. This person will provide technical design leadership in one or more of the following areas: Transmitters, Receivers, Power Amplifiers, RF Synthesizers. Will also be required to understand full unit designs and troubleshoot and solve complex unit- and system-level problems.
